Unfortunately, that’s correct English. In Dutch however, compound words should always be without spaces. So Dutchmen, check out SOS, and save the world from slow, annoying and confusing (as displayed above) text.
Do you get annoyed when people ask stupid questions online? Things like “What is Vimeo?”, which they can just google. Don’t worry, there’s a website (if you can call it that) which will help you educate these lazy bums! It’s called Let me google that for you.
Next time somebody asks a stupid question, go to that website and enter some search terms. It will generate a link like http://lmgtfy.com/?q=vimeo which you can send to the dumb-question-asker. If he/she clicks on it, they’ll go to a page that looks like Google. It will educate the user, then send them to the search results. Try it out.
Windows and I are such idiots. I moved some nice pictures from my camera phone to my HDD and deleted the originals, only to find out later that I didn’t copy the files…I made shortcuts. My pictures…gone…
This happened because I dragged the files from one window to the other while holding Shift, thinking that this makes Windows move them. It doesn’t. It makes shortcut. The key you want to hold for moving is Alt. Normally, I should’ve been able to notice the difference because of the little arrow Windows displays over all shortcuts. I didn’t…because I had disabled that arrow earlier.
Fortunately they’re nearly all pictures I can take again. Oh, and I managed to save thumbnails of about half of them (which Windows caches, so it still had them).
This I’ve seen:
This I definitely will see:
Years ago my parents gave me Lego Cybermaster, which was the first of the Mindstorms/Robotics family of products. It included a CD that had the building instructions and some games and controls to play with your creations. This all took place in a virtual city called Technic City.
Today, I’m still impressed by the concept of this city of the future, and the excellent way Lego brought this concept to life. I love the atmosphere they’ve created. I’ve therefore dug up my old CD, extracted the cutscenes from it and compiled them to put online. I just wanted to share it with you.
I like the summer. It’s days are long, it’s evenings warm. It’s the only time of year when you can make photos like this at 9.30 PM:
The last one is obviously photoshopped. You can also download a 1280×800 wallpaper version of that one. Leave your opinion in the comments.
This week is the week of the E3! See the many great announcements by Microsoft, Nintendo and especially Sony here. Some of my personal highlights below:
Assassin’s Creed II
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Too bad it’s a 360 exclusive, which I don’t have. Stupid MS with their bag of money…
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was a great experience, and this looks to be just as entertaining.
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
